See all questionsWhy should I test my water before buying a filter?
Different water needs different treatment. Water with high dissolved salts usually needs reverse osmosis (RO), while water that is already low in dissolved solids but may carry bacteria may be better served by UV or ultrafiltration. Testing first means you pay for the right system, not the most expensive one.
What is the difference between RO, UV and UF?
- RO (reverse osmosis) pushes water through a very fine membrane that holds back most dissolved salts, metals and other contaminants. Suited to water with high TDS.
- UV (ultraviolet) treats water with UV light to inactivate bacteria and viruses. It doesn’t remove dissolved substances.
- UF (ultrafiltration) uses a membrane with larger pores than RO to remove particles, cloudiness and many microorganisms, without removing dissolved salts.
Many systems combine these stages. The right mix depends on your water.
How often should filters and the membrane be changed?
It depends on your water quality and how much you use. As a general guide, sediment and carbon pre-filters are often changed every few months, and RO membranes last longer. We’ll recommend a schedule based on your water and usage.

All of Pakistan. Our technicians travel to every province and region, including Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir, so you don’t need to live in a big city. Our Service Areas page names some of the places we work. If your town isn’t there, send us a message or request a callback and we’ll arrange a visit.
What do I need to have ready for installation?
- A water inlet near where the system will go
- A drain point for the waste water from the RO process
- An electrical socket if the system has a pump or UV lamp
- Enough space under the sink or on a wall for the unit
If something is missing, we’ll tell you during the visit what is needed.
